In December 2006,ORTHODOX’ recorded this, their second album “Amanecer en Puerta Oscura”. The album helps give a new perspective into the soul of the music they create as well as its movement into several different directions. “Amanecer en Puerta Oscura” comes off like a trip crossing through different genres, where jazz influences, collide with progressive sounds and ultra-heavy, crushing metallic-punk experiments. At the same time the band has not forgotten their true metal roots and Andalusian cultural origins. The use of new instrumentation (clarinet, trumpet, contrabass), fits naturally with the band’s original sound yet opens a new window in order to see the light within their dark musical concept.
